In the second half of August each year, the festival pays tribute to the world’s best poetry and Slovenia’s finest wines in Ptuj and other locations

THE GREATEST POETS AND THE BEST WINES

Join us for a celebration of poetry, with grand evening readings, smaller and more intimate courtyard readings and poetry walks, wine tastings and the wine altar, art exhibitions, film screenings, and the
children’s and youth program. Enjoy concerts by Masayah, the Primož Vidovič Quartet and Generator. You can choose from more than 50
events featuring over 100 artists.

This year’s guests of honor are Gioconda Belli from Nicaragua and Nikola Madžirov from Macedonia, and the Open Letter to Europe will be penned by Gojko Božović, a writer and editor from Serbia. The festival’s spotlight will be on Croatian poetry. Other international poets and local authors will also be featured.
