Gourmet adventures at a unique culinary market, a true treasure trove of traditional Slovenian cuisine, contemporary culinary creations, exotic international flavors, and boutique desserts.

The curious culinary crew of Open Kitchen is returning to Ptuj! This year, the delicious gathering will take over Mestni trg twice – on Saturday, July 19, and Saturday, September 20, 2025.

We’ll be delighted if you join us again to explore new flavors, raise a glass, and boldly embark on fresh culinary adventures together.

Open Kitchen, the one-of-a-kind culinary market that has taken both the Slovenian and international food scene by storm, loves to make a stop in Ptuj. It’s a true haven of traditional Slovenian dishes, modern cuisine, exotic tastes from around the globe, and handcrafted sweet treats.

Expect new experiences served alongside the delights from some of the best eateries far and wide.

We’ll indulge in delicious meals, refreshing drinks, fine music, and the wonderful atmosphere of this beloved food market, which is celebrating its 10th visit to Slovenia’s oldest town since 2017.

The food selection will once again be rich and diverse, with more than twenty eateries from across Slovenia serving global cuisine, traditional specialties, grilled delights, and mouthwatering desserts. Meat lovers, seafood fans, vegetarians, and vegans alike will all find something to enjoy.

In an effort to care for the environment, all food and drinks will be served exclusively in biodegradable materials and reusable containers.
