We were all barely waiting for long, warm summer days to arrive as they spark the exploratory and jouyous nature within us.

In Ptuj, numerous festivals and events will be accompanied by unforgettable SUMMER ACTIVITIES, which you can enjoy in from 15 June to 14 September 2024, each and every week at the same time.

PARZIVAL FESTIVAL

FRIDAY: 17.00 or upon agreement | 1. 7.-31. 12. 2024

Parzival Festival will take place at the Mitra Hotel in Ptuj as a part of the events celebrating 1955 years since Ptuj was first ever mentioned. Through educational events, guests will learn about this literary work as well as learn about the importance of the Štajerska region as locations in Štajerska are the only real locations in Parzival.

Upon arrangement, guests can be taken to these locations. Transport for up to 3 persons can be arranged (prices apply).

MITHRAISM FESTIVAL

From ‘solstice to solsctice’, visitors can learn about Mithraism, Ptuj’s rich archaeology, and Ptuj’s importance throughout history at the Mithraeum V located at the Mitra Hotel.

Upon arrangement, it is also possible to see Mithraeum I and III. Transport for up to 3 persons can be arranged (prices apply).

Experience Slovenia’s oldest wine cellar while enjoying in excellent local wine.

The story of the oldest Slovenian wine cellar speaks of the long tradition of winemaking in Ptuj. Its extensive collection of vintage wines includes a special treasure – Zlata trta (Golden Vine) from 1917, which is considered the oldest Slovenian wine.

In addition to keeping exceptional vintage wines, the Ptuj Wine Cellar is also known as a cellar that creates pleasant, contemporary, and popular wines behind its thick historical walls.
