Poetovio was among the largest centers of Mithraism in Europe. During the guided tours, visitors will learn about the role and significance of the mithraeums and have the rare opportunity to see the altars in Mithraeum I and Mithraeum III up close.

Open doors of Mithraeum III
From July 1 to September 1, 2025, the entrance to the protective building of Mithraeum III will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 6 PM. This will allow visitors to view the interior and the monuments of this 3rd-century Roman sanctuary.
