ST. GEORGE’S FAIR

Thursday, 23 April 2026 – Ptuj Old Town

You are warmly invited to St. George’s Fair, one of the three traditional and oldest fairs in Ptuj. It will take place along the streets and squares of Ptuj’s historic town centre from the early morning hours.

Market trade played an important role in elevating Ptuj to the status of a town, granting it town privileges and three annual fairs, which have been preserved from the Middle Ages to the present day.

MEDIEVAL ST. GEORGE’S FAIR

In the Year of Our Lord 2026, on 23 April, the feast day of Ptuj’s patron saint, St. George, the Medieval St. George’s Fair will take place at Slovenski Trg square in front of the old Ptuj Town Hall and the pillory.
