DRAVA NATURA 2000 Interpretation Centre, Ptuj
The Drava River has shaped the lives of people for centuries.
Join us on a journey through the DRAVA NATURA 2000 Interpretation Centre in Ptuj, where the Drava River connects nature, cultural heritage, and the history of Ptuj and its surroundings.
Discover the relationship between the Drava River, nature, and people. Through engaging interpretation, the centre presents facts and deeper insights that encourage understanding, respect, and active participation in preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Drava region. The exhibition is linked to the display at Borl Castle, the Šturmovci educational trail, and other interpretation points along the river.
The centre forms part of the wider museum, tourism, and cultural offer of Ptuj, highlighting the connection between natural and cultural heritage along the Drava River, from Maribor to Središče ob Dravi. It is located in the building of the Ptuj-Ormož Regional Museum at Prešernova Street 37, within walking distance of Ptuj Castle, the Dominican Monastery, and the historic town centre.
