130 YEARS OF THE PTUJ-ORMOŽ REGIONAL MUSEUM
From the 3rd August till the 18th of October
In 1893, the Ptuj Museum Association was founded, within which the local museum operated. In 1895, the archaeological collection was supplemented with various donated artefacts and the museum was named the City Ferk Museum after its donor.
After 1945, the museum took over the management of the castle complex. At the same time, it expanded its area of activity and was named the Ptuj Provincial Museum in 1963, and the Ptuj – Ormož Provincial Museum in 2008.
