Il festival Art Stays è considerato uno degli eventi di presentazione di arte contemporanea (soprattutto figurativa) più importanti della Slovenia e questa parte d’Europa. Già dal 2003 il festival propone la produzione artistica più attuale di artisti dalla Slovenia e altri paesi, sia quelli noti e presenti nei musei e biennali più famosi del mondo, come per esempio Ai Weiwei e Yoko Ono, sia artisti di grande prospettiva.

This year’s edition, with its biblically inspired subtitle For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return explores the themes of the beginning and end, of the cycle of life and death, of transience. Dust, as a physical element, will become a metaphor that generates new associations, as is typical of the Art Stays festival.
