Traditional fairs
Three fairs that started in the Middle Ages are still held in Ptuj today. Traders from all over the country still come to the town to sell their products in its streets and squares, and locals use the occasion to do some shopping, meet with their friends, or just browse. The first fair of the year is St. George’s in April, followed by Oswald’s Fair In August, and Catherine’s Fair in November.
