The strategy for developing and marketing Ptuj as a tourist destination is an umbrella document intended as a guideline for all stakeholders whose work affects the development and growth of tourism in Ptuj.
The vision of the 2017–2021 strategy for developing and marketing Ptuj as a tourist destination is for Ptuj to become internationally recognized as a gem of Slovenia, as well as Central Europe, and to establish it as a place worth visiting for its exceptionally creative and open people, for the genuine experience of its cultural heritage, and for the cultural life in the old town, surrounded by nature, thermal spas and vineyards.
