A top of the tombstone can be found on the exterior façade of the building at Prešernova Ulica 11. The top has the typical lion shape, which crowned many Roman tombstones and can also be admired on the Orpheus monument. The top consists of two reclining lions on each side, and a bearded head in the middle. This depiction is believed to represent the process of life and death, and was associated with the cult of Serapis. The specimen in the façade of the building at Prešernova Ulica 11 is too poorly preserved to recognize all these features, or may be inverted and we are actually admiring its back side.
