A relief depicting Eros – the god of love riding a sea creature – was once built into the corner of the building at Cankarjeva Ulica 11. Today, the relief is hidden behind a traffic sign and a rain gutter, and is part of the modern façade. It was probably part of a larger Roman monument. The motif of Eros or Cupid riding a dolphin or hippocampus is very common in mythological scenes in Roman art.
