The building at Prešernova Ulica 33–35 now housing the Ptuj library, the so-called Little Castle, has been an important part of Ptuj’s townscape for centuries with its mighty tented roof.
Items found during the renovation of the building and archaeological excavation are exhibited in the library basement. Exhibited artefacts from the Roman period include a cremation grave covered with bricks, an amphora and other ancient vessels.
