An intimate glimpse of the city life
The old cemetery, which served as the town’s burial ground for over two centuries, has been renovated and turned into a cultural heritage site. A walk between memorials gives visitors a glimpse of the lives of people who lived in Ptuj. The oldest tombstone dates back to 1799, when it was erected for the city baker Johann Michael Wütmann.
