On Saturday, 21 June 2025, the 23rd SUMMER MUSEUM NIGHT will take place in museums and galleries across Slovenia. Join us at Ptuj Castle between 6:00 PM and midnight!

“Once, Tonight – Tales of Slavic Pop Music,” a concert
The project “Once, Tonight – Tales of Slavic Pop Music” merges iconic melodies from the golden age of pop with modern jazz arrangements. During the rich evolution of popular music in the 20th century, many music festivals emerged annually, presenting high-quality songs. Catchy melodies, orchestral arrangements, and poetic lyrics resonated throughout the Slavic world.
Vocalist Mara Muhič, a graduate in Polish and South Slavic studies and a jazz singing student, unites her two great passions—Slavic languages and jazz—in this project. Together with exceptional musicians (Jure Pišek – guitar, Anže Vrabec – piano, Marko Korošec – double bass, Gregor Horvat – drums, Boris Majcen – trumpet), they breathe new life into old pop songs with a modern twist. The ensemble performs in Slovene, Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian, and Polish, inviting the audience on a musical journey through the rich tradition of Slavic pop.
