Ptuj is the oldest Slovenian town, and it will impress you at every turn. While walking through the streets of the medieval town center and visiting the majestic castle, you will encounter numerous landmarks and discover the rich history of our ancestors. Ptuj is also known for its rich wine culture, with many renowned wineries offering top-quality wines, including the oldest wine in Slovenia.
The Ptuj golf course is located near the city center and offers stunning views of Ptuj Castle. The course was built 25 years ago and has repeatedly been awarded the title of the best-maintained golf course in Slovenia. Between 2008 and 2012, it hosted professional competitions of the ALPS TOUR.
Three years ago, the Šegula family from Ptuj purchased the golf course and partially renovated and modernized it, so today the Ptuj golf course is among the best-kept and most welcoming golf courses in Slovenia.
The Ptuj golf course features 18 holes, par 72, and spans 52 hectares. It presents a special challenge for players with its beautiful and fast greens, and a notable feature is the 14th hole, PAR 3, where the ball must be hit onto an island. The course is suitable for both professionals and recreational players.
