As Ptuj celebrated the 1950th anniversary since it was first mentioned in writing in an ancient source, the Municipality of Ptuj prepared an exhibition, which takes us through the social, cultural and urban history of town streets and squares from antiquity to the present day.
Five panels show the development of Poetovio from its creation to the end of the Roman Empire. They describe the beliefs, army, economy and trade, as well as daily life of the largest ancient town on the territory of modern-day Slovenia.
The exhibition was put on above the renovated town market, the modern meeting place of the locals, and the urban center of the town and event venue.
